Six Pack Abs is really achieved mainly by your diet my ambitious Six Pack Abs achiever. And one of the main principles of Six Pack Abs eating is to not snack. I know. It seems like a completely opposite advise from the mainstream fitness advice. But it is the right one.
How many main meals?
Yes, your grandma was right. Or almost right. She would tell you: Johnny have a good breakfast – few eggs, we will cook something good, maybe catch a chicken in the garden for lunch and we finish the left over from lunch for dinner. What a sage advice! Our grandmas were smart! And they didn’t even know it.
Well, I refined this smart advice to my 2 Six Pack Abs meals per day. Yes, having 3 meals per day is great, and I still do it. Especially on my surfing days. I need to put a lot of fuel, mainly good fats like bacon, avocados, butter and eggs into my body to fully enjoy my at least 3 hour surfing in cold 57 degree (Fahrenheit) ocean.
But on the days, I go to work, or days off when I hang out with the family, I eat only 2 big meals per day. Now, those meals have to be exceptionally good Six Pack Abs quality ones. And you already know the composition of those Six Pack Abs achiever. I talked about right meals with lots of fat in them in my previous Six Pack Abs step.
But to repeat that. The right Six Pack Abs meal contains optimal amount of protein. That’s about 0.5 – 0.7 gram per pound of the body weight per day. It depends on your activity level. Now if you have 3 meals per day you divide it by 3. And if you have only 2 meals per day, of course the math is simple, you divide it by 2.
Closer look at my 2 Six Pack Abs meals
As I said, I usually skip breakfast. It’s my intermitted fasting for about 4 days per week. My first meal is at around 12 at midday. Untill than I sip my coffee full of butter mixed in and MCT oil/coconut oil and green tea.
My lunch is usually 5 scrambled eggs, few pieces of bacon, cocked on onion. And some desert in form of few apples, papaya, oranges and so on. It’s a pretty heavy meal. And I go without eating anything until 6 PM. And I am not even hungry.
My dinner is around 6-6:30 PM. Again, I eat protein and I go little heavier on carbohydrate here. Last night it was a big piece of salmon with lots of olive oil on it, arugula salad, whole papaya, pear and apple. And I am done for the day. Does it sound boring. Yes it does. And it is boring. But your reward for this boring eating is of course exciting body with Six Pack Abs clearly visible and fantastic health with abundant energy with it. Is that a good trade of? You bet it is!
No snacking? What’s up with that?
First of all, snacking can get very easily out of control. And sooner you know it, you’re snacking all the time.
Second of all, it’s bad for you teeth. And what is bad for your teeth is bad for you period.
And third, and the most important, you keep your pancrease and it’s insulin secretion always on while snacking. It doesn’t get any brake. There is always some carb, protein/carbohydrate to take care of. Yes insulin is the one that takes care of it. And it’s a sin for Six Pack Abs achievement to mess with an insulin while snacking.
Give it some brake! Don’t snack! And the reward for that is, that your body will go off this carbohydrate burning treadmill, that so many people are on. And it switches to fat burning machine. And yes, that’s exactly what we want here in our year to Six Pack Abs program. Now make it happened Six Pack Abs achiever on mission! No snacking between meals!
