Our year to Six Pack Abs step 45 for the week 45 is about increasing intensity. But this only applies to those Six Pack Abs achievers who have been paying their dues until now. What do I mean by paying their dues?
Year to six pack abs – week 45 – step 45 video:
To reap the most benefits from your exercise, you have to push your body to its limits. That creates a pain in form of a burn. I achieve high intensity burn on very regular basis. And I want you to start experiencing with this burn too. But, there is a condition. You must be eligible for this kind if exercise.
To being able to workout intensively, you must first deserve it. Otherwise you’ll get hurt.
You might be thinking now. Milan, are you crazy? Are you telling me to hold back? Isn’t this suppose to be intensive program where everybody is pushing themselves to their limits? No! To be able to push his body to its limits one must deserve it. And one deserves it with paying his dues and strength training regularly at least for 6 months.
Why do you have to apply this strict rule? You have to apply this rule to avoid injury. And that injury can be very serious. And it can seriously stop you from pursuing your ultimate fitness goal: Achieving Six Pack Abs in a year.
The law of adaptation
Your body is always changing and adapting. Its either getting weaker or getting stronger. If you’ve seen the movie Gravity, you see this very natural process in action.
After Dr. Ryan Stone lands her spaceship back on earth after several months in space, as soon as she gets her feet on land, she can barely walk. Now the body adaptation is at place. Actually in this case it’s a body weakened to the lack of gravity in space. Now try to imagine Dr. Stone doing squat jumps right after. She would most likely, pull or tear he quadriceps muscles and she will likely dislocate her ankles and possibly brake a femur – the main bone of a tigh.
Now, Dr. Stone isn’t crippled barely walking on earth for the rest of her life, but she has to give her body – muscles, tendons, bones, skin and everything on the body to adapt back to its former earthy shape. And that takes time.
And if after 5-6 months Dr. Stone is back at her old earth walking human being shape and she stumbles across this website and she decides to achieve Six Pack Abs, she again must follow with cautious persistent, slowly over time intensity increasing fashion. Sounds boring? Yes it is. And there is nothing you can do about it. You can only realize it and proceed intelligently. Otherwise like I said, you’ll get hurt.
Another great example we see this important principle in negative way, is in professional sport. You can not blame the athletes here, they are not the most intelligent creatures between us human beings. Hey, I was one of them little while ago too 🙂
So what happens is, that these new age gladiators, especially those in team sports like American Football, Ice Hockey, Baseball and Basketball have a certain season. And when the season is over, they get a brake. And yes those smart and more intelligent ones like for example Jerry Rice, who lasted the longest out there, exactly because of this principle at play, don’t just stop on their 2 months or so brake. They maintain their consistency and intensity at their workouts.
So, you’ll most likely see smart athlete still doing his workout in the tropical resort and than hopefully enjoying his vacation too. While I and the much bigger group of them will be sleeping in, hanging out in the bar, lying at the pull, enjoying the view of pretty girls. And most importantly not doing anything physical. Something like that.
Well, guess who is going to get hurt when the season starts and the coach is demanding from everybody to hit the floor running and working out intensively? You can blame him. His chair it always shaking.
So you’ll see the smart athlete being able to withstand the intensity and subsequently get even better, while I and my bar buddies will be sitting on the bench with pulled muscle, twisted ankle, inflamed tendon and so on. I am sure you get my point here.
Six Pack Abs achiever on the mission, apply the same principle in your strength training and sprinting workout. Stay consistent, pay the dues until you’re ready and you deserve to bring your workout to the next level.
Anatomy of a serious burn
You paid your dues ambitious Six Pack Abs achiever. And you’re ready to really bring your strength training intensity to a whole different level. You are ready to experience the serious burn! Great! Let’s look what you’ll experience.
When I do my sets of pull ups, push ups, squat jumps, shoulder presses and sprints, I experience an incredible burn. Why? Because I push myself to the limit.
After finishing the the first set, I push myself all the way to my limits and further with the rest of my 5 sets.
In pull ups it will look something like this: I will be easily able to finish 15 repetitions, next 5 I will struggle little bit with and finish it to 20 reps. Yes I am still hanging there. Then I will finish the next 3 or four with great difficulty, where I am already experiencing burn. I am still hanging on the bar. And here I will force myself to do 3 more pull ups. You might not consider those pull ups being really pull ups. It might look like a drunk monkey trying to get up while laughing uncontrollably.
In your case the amount of repetitions will wary. You might be able to finish much less repetitions with the same burn. Or you’ll have to do more than me to achieve the serious burn.
Anyways, I finish these last 3 repetitions with great difficulty and land on the floor. My muscles are burning to the point I am ready to scream. And I do sometimes. And you should too. It helps coping with pain. I finish 3 more sets in this kind of fashion, of course every set I will be able to finish less and less repetitions due to very fatigued muscles.
Great! After my intensive burning strength training session is done, it’s time for recovery. And what will happen is, that your body will for next up to 72 hours and more require high amount of energy to rebuild the muscle stronger and with that to increase the metabolism much higher. You’ll be getting stronger and at the same time, you’ll be getting leaner and leaner. Until you’ll see your own Six Pack Abs clearly visible on your belley.
My Six Pack Abs achieving friend, use the incredible intensity to your advantage. But proceed with caution. Make sure you deserve to work out with this kind of intensity. And you already know, that you’ll deserve it with being consistent with your strength training and increasing the intensity slowly over time. And it usually takes about 5-6 months to start really pushing it without being afraid of injuring yourself. Go rock on! Stay consistent, and be always ready to push it hard!
Stand in front of the mirror and scream!
I understand the increadible advantage of working out very intensivelly! But I also understand it’s dangers. That’s why I make sure I stay consistent and increase my intensity slowly over time untill I am able to push it to the maximum level!
I am losing fat, getting stronger, healthier, better looking and my physical and mental performance and energy is rising every day.
My six pack abs is more and more visible on my stomach everyday!
I make things happen! And I am making my own Six Pack Abs happen!
