And it is: For losing fat and getting Six Pack Abs, the most effective kind of exercise is intensive regular strength training and interval training. And the popular mainstream advice including your doctor says: Go for a longer 20 minutes and more cardiovascular exercise 3-4 times per week. Even if they only mean it for cardiovascular health, they are wrong. Strength training and interval training is a winner here too.

So why strength training and interval training is the best for overall lean body composition and cardiovascular health? For some change to happen in our bodies intensity is important. Yes walking is still fine for overall health. But we don’t have an average goal here in Year to Six Pack Abs program.
Getting your own Six Pack Abs is a big health and fitness goal! It’s not an average goal. So a big change, intensity and impact is necessary. And a big change and benefit to your overall body composition and health happens when intensive short burst of energy in a form of intensive strength training and interval training are applied.
With intensive strength training and interval training, the muscle fiber is pushed to the edge of its ability hardly seen in long chronic cardiovascular exercise. That damages that muscles in a good way and a message is sent to the brain that that muscle needs to be repaired, rebuilded, and possibly added to it some more mass. That creates highly elevated metabolism with high energy needs form the muscles. And paired with a great diet, your body becomes over time a lean fat burning machine. And intensive strength training and interval training is primary responsible for it.
