Push ups are fantastic multijoint, core exercise. And they will speed our way to your own six pack abs. Not only you will strengthen your upper body substantially doing push ups, you’ll also increase the overall metabolisms of your body. And that will set burning that extra fat storage on autopilot. A fantastic benefits of push ups!
How to integrate push ups to your overall weekly strength training routine?
Simple. You add them to your introductory workout routine, we talked about in our Year to six pack abs step number 9.
So now you’ll have 3 great strength training exercises. And you will be doing them on 2 nonconsecutive days per week.
Integrating push ups to your simple but very six pack abs effective strength training routine:
If you are a beginner, do modified push ups. You can see them on the video. Simply put your knees on the floor and start doing them. Do 3 sets of maximum you can do. Eventually you’ll be ready to do real push ups.
If you can perform a real push up, do 3 sets of maximum repetitions of real push ups following immediately with modified push ups. It will look like this: You start doing a real push ups and you were able to finish 3 of them. Now put your knees on the floor and keep doing push ups until you fail.
If you are a six pack abs achiever who can perform at least 15 real push ups, do 3 sets of maximum real push ups you can do.
Great! Fantastic! Now you have some serious strength training routine going that doesn’t really require a gym environment. You can do it anywhere. At home, at work, in your neighborhood park. Stay consistent and have fun with it! You are getting at this point seriously stronger everyday now. How exciting!
