I just returned from beautiful luxurious vacation. It was great and it was fun. I did surf a little and I had great time with my kidos and my wife. And I still have six pack abs. Life was grand! Or was it really?
Yes the family stuff is always great.
But the comfort and food and people serving you all the time. After 4 days living like a king, eating like a pig and being treated like a royalty, I started to develop little back pain. And I started feeling tired, brain slow and weak.
Yes I surfed. It was fun. And yes I worked out. I did lots of pull ups too. But it was different. Something was different.
Another meal came and I dove in! The whole family dove in! Lots of great food. You want to taste everything! I mean it’s hard to stay disciplined. Impossible! You eat, eat, eat and eat until you can’t. The best of the best food. Eat, eat, eat!
And than you’re ready to crash on a beach lounge chair.
Anyway, I’m not complaining. It was an amazing vacation. But at the end of it I felt like soft poop! And I became one in just 4 days.
I still have six pack abs body. But it wouldn’t take long with a lifestyle like that to lose it. And the whole health would also go in the toilet fast with it.
I realized that there is something about constant little struggle. A constant empty stomach feel. A constantly thinking what next you have to do and where next you need to be. Staying alert. Getting little dirty from some real physical work. Experiencing cold and hot sometimes. Having the normal day to day struggles. Not having time to exercise and somehow still squiring it in on empty stomack.
The normal stuff we are trying to avoid.
Be careful what you wish for! Do you want to be more comfortable? Do you just want to be lounging and being served? Do you want to eat the best food in the world and a lot of it? Do you want to drink the best wine and tequila?
If you do, go try it. And tell me how you like it. I thing it’s ok for vacation time. But isn’t vacation time suppose to make you stronger and healthier. And getting you closer to six pack abs body and bulletproof health at the same time? What do you think?
