After reading few newest books on health and diet, I decided to introduce few changes to my six pack abs lifestyle. They are focused mainly on health, but that is also closely related to six pack abs. Do you remember? Si pack abs = attraction magnet (I know this is the most important for you). But a very nice side effect, also coming with six pack abs is a great health almost to the point that, you become invincible. And that is why it’s important to do everything possible for your own six pack abs.
New things I am applying to my lifestyle, you might want to consider too:
Taking vitamin C supplement
I haven’t been taking any supplements for long time now. But vitamin C does boost your immunity system. Many new studies show this. The reason for applying it on semi regular bases is, that even if you have too much of it, it’s not toxic to your body. I plant to take it irregularly. Maybe once or twice per week – 1000-2000 mg.
To achieve and maintain six pack abs, strong immunity is a must have. So I am willing to do anything to gain every little edge in it. And so should you. Being sick less means living more healthy days. It’s no brainer. And your six pack abs will thank you for it.
Magnesium supplement
There is a lot written about magnesium supplementation and its benefits. Magnesium is beneficial in transmission of nerve impulses, detoxification of body, energy production, formation of healthy bones and teeth. It lovers the risks of coronary disease among others.
Again, I am a kind of guy that really questions any kind of supplement. I believe in natural supplementation through great diet and sun exposure. That’s why, I am not going to take magnesium supplement every day. I will take it 2 times per week. Maybe only once. And it will be 150 mg of magnesium citrate on empty stomach.
For six pack abs achievement, quick intensive strength training is required. And magnesium supplementation might give you a little extra edge and maintain mineral balance in your body for great physical and mental performance.
Cutting back on peanut butter that I love so much
This is going to be hard. I love peanut butter. But since I have been eating huge amount of it, it’s time for moderation. Peanut butter is high in omega 6 fatty acids and shouldn’t be consumed in huge quantities. I will still eat peanut butter. It’s still a great nutritious food full of protein, minerals, fiber and vitamins. I will just cut back to about 2 tablespoons per day from about 5 I used to eat.
It’s not great to consume too much omega 6 fatty acids for six pack abs. It could cause inflammation in the body. And that creates fertile conditions for fat storing. Not the best thing for your six pack abs. Eat peanut butter in moderation.
Eating at least 3 yolks from pastured chickens per day
Egg yolk contains high amounts of vitamin A, K, E and choline. These are vitamins very necessary for health, immunity and overall healthy body balance.
Basically, I will eat more eggs. That means, more than 20 per week. I am not going to bother pulling out only yolks out of them.
The opposite to the mainstream advice that I believe and science supports it is, that egg yolks are healthier and much more nutritious and much more beneficial to our health than egg whites. But, the average folk will still get rid of them, because he thinks they will give him heart attack eventually for their high cholesterol content.
You should eat more eggs too. Please don’t throw the egg yolk. Throw the egg whites instead. Don’t be afraid of eggs. They are seriously good for you and for your six pack too. Eggs are superfood. Especially egg yolks. Period!
Continue eating lots of grass fed butter
I will continue eating lots of good quality grass fed butter. I have been doing this for a while now. And all I can see is, that more of it I eat, the leaner I become. I don’t think there is any other explanation necessary. Butter is great for six pack abs. Just don’t put it on bread. Eat it like you would eat a snickers bar. Unwrap and enjoy!
Cutting on protein intake
I wrote about this step I am taking a little while ago. The reason is simple. There is way too much protein in our diet. And it’s not that necessary. Actually, you can do your health a big favor cutting on a consumption of protein a little. Less protein promotes longevity and better health. And I am going to fill the calorie deficit with more fat in my diet instead.
In my case, and I am very active guy, it’s going to be no more that 0.7 gram of protein per pound of my body weight. That means roughly 190X0.7 = 133 grams of protein.
Your six pack abs doesn’t require huge amount of protein to be nice cut and visible. And too much protein could be a problem for your six pack abs. Our body has ability to transfer protein to use it for energy. And your six pack abs would rather use fat for that.
Increasing my carbohydrate intake
I have been eating way too low amount of carbohydrates per day lately. It would be often below 100 grams per day. So, no more stressing about little extra content of carbohydrates in fruit. I was cutting on fruit consumption. But considering my activity level, it’s not necessary and it is sort of obsessive.
No more obsessing about having an extra 5 pieces of fruit per day. My carbs will still be coming from very good quality choices – fruit and vegetables. And I am not going to limit my intake. If you are reasonably active and you don’t lead sedentary lifestyle, don’t worry about how much fruit you eat. It will not harm your six pack abs. Enjoy it!
I recently tested this on my surfing trip to Mexico. I ate fresh papaya 3 times per day to the point I was ready to blow up. And it just felt good to not limit myself in this matter, even though papaya is high on sugar. My six pack abs did not change at all. And with this kind of loose attitude, things are more sustainable. Remember, I said that, I will have my six pack abs visible in my eighties. And I am holding that promise.
Avoiding electricity light and screen time on evenings
I am trying to implement this, but not very successfully. I will work hard on it though. This principle can make you fall a sleep faster and you will have more restful sleep too. Electricity and screen light promote suppression of melatonin, the hormone that puts us to sleep. Your body and brain basically think it’s a day time.
Your six pack abs need rest and limiting electricity and screen time will help to improve your sleep.
Taking my supplemental vitamin D in the morning
I do take 1000 IUs of vitamin D per day. I used to take it in the evening. But some studies show that taking vitamin D in the evening suppresses production of melatonin too.
In nature without supplements, vitamin D is provided to us humans mainly through sun exposure. And that increases the levels of vitamin D in our bodies. If you take it in the evening, your body will think you are just hanging out somewhere on the beach fishing. So it naturally won’t want to go to sleep.
Cooking grass fed beef and pastured chicken legs broths and drinking it for its natural mineral and collagen content.
Pretty self explanatory. It also might be helpful maintaining healthy joints.
Not exercising more than 17 minutes per day
Guess what, the things I do for fun like surfing, tennis, soccer is not exercise for me, even if it is. It’s pure fun. And I am not going to give it up. But, I will try to spend less time in the gym lifting weights. 3 times per week for 17 minutes of intensive burst of heavy weight lifting is enough for strength and muscle mass building and maintenance.
Everything I do is sort of self experimentation and seeing how it works. I will certainly let you know how are these new principles working for me. But, maybe, you can try them on yourself too and see what happens. Adios!
