I know people who think, that their organic diet is the healthiest diet in the world. It is pure organic and you can’t go wrong with that, can you?
Organic terrible foods
That sounds like a very healthy diet to a lot of people, but if you ask them what specifically they eat you get something like this: I usually eat organic cereal for breakfast with organic milk and organic chocolate syrup on it. The organic cereals are made with all organic ingredients, including sugar.
Organic sugar? It maybe is organic sugar, but there is not a major difference between organic sugar and sugar that is not labeled organic. They are both terrible for your health.
Anyway, this kind of superhealthy organic breakfast contains 60 grams of sugar and every other scary ingredient in is organic, like for example:
Organic brown rice syrup. What kind of crap is that? Yes it sounds very healthy because it is probably made from brown rice. But everything good for our health was already taken from it and all that is left is sugar. Plain, maybe little brown, body poisoning sugar.
The other common organic super healthy ingredients as many energy bars, like Cliff bar, and cereal manufacturers claim are: Organic soy protein isolate – most probably bad for you, Organic rice flour – bad for you, Organic barley malt extract – sugar – bad for you, Organic date paste – sugar – bad for you, inulin-chicory extract – probably bad for you, Organic evaporated cane juice – sugar – bad for you and many, many others. And the average folk is blown away by these “incredibly healthy stuff.”
If you are one of those people who get very impressed by these kind of exotic organic ingredients, than your diet is probably terrible. And it doesn’t matter, that it is organic. It is highly processed, loaded with 5 kinds of sugar and it is messing up with your natural biochemistry, making you fat and sick at the same time.
Another common healthy organic stuff you can see in stores and people eating for lunch or diner are packaged organic turkey or tuna wraps, pizzas,whole organic packaged meals and others. It will say something like this: Made from organic flour, or used only organic ingredients. But they won’t tell you that, the organic ingredient is some kind of sweet conservative, that keeps that sandwich sitting in the store for a month without getting bad. Or that it is a processed ingredient for a better flavor.
Organic terible drinks
It’s very similar with drinks. All natural drink I saw in the store the other day claims to have the best organic stuff on earth! Suddenly, you think you are about to drink the healthiest drink in the world. It contains a huge amount of sugar – 67 grams per 20 oz size bottle. But hey it is organic sugar and not high fructose corn syrup, like there is really much of a difference. And it also has – grape juice concentrate! While it sounds great it is just another kind of sugar.
67 grams of sugar is what you shouldn’t consume in 4 days and here you have it – one little bottle that people enjoy after their lunch.
Don’t get confused by organic healthy – organic unhealthy diet
The point here is, that some people, majority in fact eat these kind of healthy organic, packaged, sugar loaded diet and they really think it’s good for them. Not realizing, that the amounts of toxins and sugar in these products is strongly, terribly messing up with their body’s biochemistry.
These people and you might be one of them, need to be educated about this stuff. Because if nobody tells them, they will keep eating these “healthy organic foods” and one day their doctor will tell them, that they have a cancer or diabetes or high cholesterol and heart disease. Yes, sugar, not surprisingly even organic causes all of these.
Healthy diet
I don’t care if it is organic or not. I don’t eat pure organic diet. And I think that, if you want to eat super healthy diet it doesn’t have to be organic.
I believe, that even when the plant is treated with some protective chemical, it is still a plant that’s taken straight from the earth. It is a fresh plant. A plant that’s going to get bad soon if you don’t eat it within certain time. An that is healthy stuff in my world. It is not a processed granola bar. I comes straight from nature and not from the factory.
There is some evidence, that organic produce doesn’t contain more vitamins, fiber and minerals than not organic one. And if you wash it, the not organic one doesn’t contain any chemicals at all.
The perfect diet doesn’t have to be organic. It has to be based on a huge amounts of fresh fruits and vegetables. It has to be free of sugar, processed foods and white flour. It must be rich in mainly vegetable protein like beans, tofu and grains supplemented with eggs, fish and lean chicken. Also some dairy sugar free products should be added to it.
If you want to eat healthy, eat these kind of diet. Normal is just fine. Don’t worry about it being organic. But if it is organic, than watch out!
