That means, that our body is braking down. To stop the loss of muscle mass, we have to create more happy times in our life’s. We have to relax more and enjoy our days more.

Happiness is body self defense
When we are happy, our immunity system works at it’s best. And our bodies are able to defend the good stuff we have. Muscle mass included. So how do you become happier? Did you already tried everything? Are you totally bored? My answer to this questions would be: try harder! You can Kearney new things and you can develop new passions in your life. You have to work on being happy and excited in your life the same way you are working on your math skills.
Experience new things
Do your days seem to be never-ending and boring with lots of necessary boring chores? We all have things to do and many times these things are not that enjoyable for us. And often they are down right miserable. It’s your job to make yourself try new things, to explore a little bit more, to find joy in trying new exciting stuff and balance it with the boring, stressful stuff, or just to get rid of this stuff. We human beings were mend to do this kind of stuff. It adds to our overall happiness. So what kind of new things should you try?
Is there anything you always wanted to do? Is there place in the world, you always wanted to go? Find a way to do it or to go there. You must find the way. Your health, your sanity, your health and your muscle mass is at stake. You don’t have to quit everything in order to do what you always wanted to do. All you need to do is to start doing it now just a little bit regularly and go from there.
I for example always wanted to play guitar. Me being the least musically talented person in the entire world always wanted to play guitar. But I never did. And it would always be my dream. Than one day, I got my guitar, printed some chords of my favorite songs on Internet and started playing. Yes, all I needed was acoustic guitar, chords and a pick for playing. Than I sat down and played for 20 minutes. Of course I was terrible. But I made a goal to play everyday at least 15 minutes. After a while I could play some chords and I was getting better. Now playing guitar is part of my day, it gives me an incredible joy and I feel great that I am actually doing a thing I always wanted to do.
It ads to my overall happiness. And with that also helps to stop the loss of my muscle mass by keeping myself happier. So what are you waiting for? Did you always want to be a golf player, or did you want to become world champion in paragliding? Don’t wait. Find a way to start doing it at some level right now. Just 15 minutes per day can make a huge difference in your overall happiness and skill building.
Get passionate
Passion can be learned. It usually comes after you become good at something. I experienced passion from the beginning for sport of surfing. Fist time when I was in the ocean with heavy board, I was very clumsy. I didn’t catch any wave. I got beaten by waves and they sometimes held me under the water for more than 20 seconds. You might thing that, that’s nothing to be passionate about.
But in spite of all these no fun stuff, I loved to be outside on the sun in the beautiful clean blue ocean with beautiful white sand on the beach, having an ultimate outdoors workout. Yes, surfing is the ultimate outdoors activity. That’s why I was passionate about it right from the beginning. And that’s what kept me going. Now I can catch a wave easily and I am really having fun in the water. And my passion about surfing is still growing.
Often, passion comes little bit later. When you start doing some new activity like for example painting, sculpting or fashion design, you are not going to be very good at it at first. The key here is to persist. Do you really want to do this? Do you really love something about this? Then stick around, keep trying. You will get better and your passion for the activity will grow. Don’t give up. Every time you are trying, you are getting little bit better. That’s the rule I live my life with. And when you get better, you have more fun with it, you become passionate about it, and your overall happiness will grow. And your muscles will also thank you for that. You will be able to preserve your muscle mass and grow more of it much easier. Happy means growth. Get happy, become passionate and preserve and build some extra muscle mass.
Learn new things
I already covered part of learning new things in previous section. You have to keep learning new things in order to stay happy and to eventually become passionate. It’s great for your brain and for your muscles too. Passion comes later, when you realize, you are good at something. And becoming good at something involves learning.
The way you learn and get better and subsequently become passionate and happy is to pick up activity that interests you. Activities like art carpentry, bird watching, hot metal bending, roller hockey, karate are good examples. Than learn the basics, hire a coach for a while and most important, stick with it. You will over time get better at it. Your interest toward the activity will grow. You will become even better. And than it will become your passion.
The activities I became passionate about over time are: surfing, writing, playing tennis, playing guitar, soccer, drawing, art metal processing. Lately I am learning some simple programming and coding. Doing any of these activities in my day brings me joy. However difficult they are, I am getting better at them always when I do them. And I love it. You might wander how can I keep up with all those activities. I call it steering the pots. I make sure I engage at least 2 or better 3 times per week doing any of these activities for at least 30 minutes. That way I am flexing the certain activity muscles regularly.
Anyway, to stop a loss of muscle mass, you need to be happy. And to be happy, you need to learn new things, that you will eventually become passionate about. And by being passionate about something, you loose track of time while doing it and it makes you happy. You are happy, your body is happy and you help to stop the loss of muscle mass. Add intensive weight training, great diet and optimal rest and you set the conditions in your body for it to become muscle mass preserving and building machine.
Enjoy life everyday
We are here on this earth for one simple reason. We were mend to enjoy our brief stay here on this planet. I am not talking about destructive enjoyment like drugs, alcohol, video games, gambling and others. I am talking about the kind of enjoyment, where you feel great everyday, you are healthy, happy, your body and your mind is strong and you are enjoying every day in your life living to your true potential. Who doesn’t want that? I don’t know one person who would turn these good stuff down.
So are you living up to your true potential? Is your body and your mind strong? Are you lean, fit and muscular? Or are you fat and tired all the time. It’s time to bring joy back to your life. It’s time for you to be a strong and happy human being. For that to happen, you need to stop loss of muscle mass and build some more of it. It is one circle, that is connected.
