To only a certain point.
There are many people out there that exercise, really exercise intensively but they are overweight and they can’t loose weight.
While it’s definitely better to be fat and physically active than fat couch potato, even skinny and inactive couch potato, there are some risks you should know about.
If you are overweight – your body mass index is over 25, even if you exercise regularly and intensively you are exposing yourself to the other kinds of weight related risks like heart disease, many kinds of cancers, dementia, sleep apnea and many, many others.
Arthritis in knee joint is 3 times higher in people who carry extra weight on themselves.
How about performance? While you can outrun sometimes the skinny guy, just imagine how much better would you do if you were 10 pounds lighter.
So, if you are overweight and very active, it’s a great idea to not get comfortable and keep trying to loose that extra fat. Most often it’s just a simple adjustment in your diet to start loosing it.
Instead of telling you: “hey, you’re fine, you work out every day,” I will tell you: “loose that extra fat you active, fat pig and get healthier, happier, faster, smarter and better looking.”
Sorry for being so rude, but aren’t those the things you are really looking for?
