After long and countless searches of people and biotechnology companies for that youth pill, calorie restriction shows to be the only and the most effective way to stop aging process. And it’s clear now, that to apply it in our daily life’s is not easy. You will not achieve optimal youth preserving calorie restriction with a pill. And most people look for a quick fix – a pill. But it takes much more effort than that.
If you want to stay young forever, you are not alone. Who wants to get old, when everything hurts, your memory is not working, you get out of breath after covering 10 yard long distance. And than, you have to take all those pills that doctor prescribes you.
People obsessed for ever about staying young forever. And biotechnology companies are desperately trying to find that youth pill. They know, that if they find the pill, everybody will want it. Hey, I want it! Do you have it? I will give you all my wealth for it. But you certainly don’t have it. Otherwise, we would already know about you.
This search for youth pill and how to stay young forever is been going on for ages. But it really took of a lot lately. Many studies were done. Mainly on mice. And after all those studies only few promising results came up. Number one thing how you can slow aging is by:
Calorie restriction
Mice who got all their nutrients, but were restricted to minimum calories possible lived up to 80% of time longer than mice who had plenty of food and calories. So basically by eating less, we human beings can extend our life’s to at least 120 years. Researchers are a little bit skeptical about comparing humans to mice, but the evidence shoved the same results on other larger mammals.
Do you believe that we can extend our life’s and live longer, and I don’t mean by suffering longer in old age? I do. Do you need a pill for this benefit available to everybody? No you don’t. Interestingly all anti aging biotech companies are making their research based on replicating CR – calorie restriction. If a pill could replicate the benefits of calorie restriction, than it would be probably the best selling pill in the world. Pill replicating CR? Am I missing something?
We can all practice CR in our daily life’s, but most of us choose not to. Why? Well, feeling hungry brings a mild discomfort. And many people in especially developed world hate discomfort. You have a pill for it? Bring it on and bill me later! I want it! So, it is almost impossible to make people eat less and reap the benefits. But, if you are a special breed and ambitious enough and you want to live long and healthy life, it is here for you to take. You don’t need a pill. And quite honestly, if they even came up with the pill, I probably wouldn’t take it anyway. It’s a pill after all. And all pills are suspicious in my world.
How can you apply calorie restriction in your life?
Natural foods that are not processed and come straight from nature are naturally low in calories. And they can keep you young forever if only these foods are on your menu. Foods like vegetables, fruits, nuts, beans, natural meats and even all kinds of fats, if eaten, will satisfy hunger for longer periods of time. And keep you feeling full. Unless you diminish this effect with calorie dense processed foods that are full of sugar and flour. If you eat these, you will feel hungry more often, you’ll eat more and your calorie intake will rise. Processed foods truly take the years out of your life and also health out of your years.
Adding fat to your diet
Now, you might think, that I got crazy, or something. Milan is recommending calorie restricted diet and I am supposed to add fat to it? Doesn’t fat contain too much calories? Yes it does. But if you add fats like avocados, nuts, coconut oil, butter, olive oil, even saturated fat from animal products, you will feel hungry less. And you’ll stay full longer. And if you are disciplined enough and don’t snack on junk foods between your main meals, fats in your diet can significantly lower your overall daily calorie intake by making you more satisfied. It’s like being a vampire who sucks blood only from animals. He is never truly satisfied unless he has some human blood for supper.
You know the drill already, if you have been reading my website. If you have a grilled chicken salad, you will add few walnuts or a lot of walnuts to it, or pour a lot of olive oil on it. If you just have that grilled chicken caesar without any fat in it, you will feel hungry sooner. If you however add a lot of fat to it, you will be able to go longer without eating. Calorie restriction is here for you to take. The question is, will you take it? Will you be able to go without junk foods and eat only natural foods, which are also low in calories. If you do, you might live a very long and healthy life and you don’t need to rely on some biotech company inventing the youth pill.
Intermitted fasting
Intermitted fasting helps decrease the intake of calories even further. The condition for intermitted fasting to work, is first to have a great diet, the one I described before, that consists of only natural unprocessed foods adding some fat to each meal.
Twice a week and sometimes more I do my own version of intermitted fasting. Here is how I do it: I have a healthy dinner like grilled salmon with vegetables and some olive oil with it. That’s a very healthy low calorie meal, that’s going to keep you full for long time.
Now I have to resist all the stuff people usually have in the evening like ice cream, vine, beer or some crackers while watching TV. And I don’t really have a problem to resist them. I don’t eat these junk foods anymore. And instead of watching TV, I play a guitar, that leaves me with no free hand for snacking. Pretty good trick. You should try it!
Than I go to sleep, wake up in the morning, have coffee without sugar and go until 10 sometimes all the way to 12 AM without eating anything. Thats up to 18 hours without putting any food to my mouth at all. The benefits of this practice are incredible. Not only I boost my immunity system to the maximum level, I restrict my calories even further. Which means hopefully staying younger and healthier longer.
Am I some kind of very skinny guy? No I am not. I certainly don’t have much fat on my body at all. It’s hovering around 9% right now. But I am very muscular guy. I weigh around 190 pounds and at hight of 6’3″ that’s a lot of muscle. I can keep a healthy muscle mass on my body without consuming too much calories to maintain them. This stuff is quite incredible. What body is actually doing, if done right is, it reaches for it’s fat reserves, not muscle reserves. I as a pretty big guy, can eat much less to maintain my healthy muscle mass, than much smaller people eating junk food.
To promote CR and staying young forever, practice intermitted fasting with a connection of great natural diet. You will not only live longer and healthier life, you will feel the benefits in the all aspects of your life like physical and mental performance, happier outlook on life, staying more motivated and more positive.
Resveratrol
Another possible substance that’s showing some evidence about longevity and health is resveratrol. It’s a flovonoid kind of substance found in mainly red wine, grapes, peanut butter and dark chocolate. So why would you buy expensive chemically processed pill of resveratrol? You don’t have to. Just eat some peanut butter, maybe some grapes, have a occasional red wine with your dinner and have some 100% cocoa chocolate occasionally. You will most likely get the same and maybe even better benefits out of these foods as from resveratrol pill.
Staying young for ever naturally
So much energy, time and money have been put to the anti aging research. And all these studies found are easy replicable naturally. Pill for calorie restriction? Do it yourself with real diet, with real foods! Eat resveratrol pills? No way! Eat some foods that contain resveratrol like wine, peanuts, peanut butter, dark chocolate.
Take advantage of wast research and what they found about anti aging, but don’t buy their pill. You already know this. To live longer and healthier life, to stay young forever takes discipline. But it’s available to everybody. Is it worth doing? I will let you answer the question.
